How to Know Metal Coating proceses

In the metal working technology, Electroplating process categorized as process of the end (metal finishing). Simply put, Electroplating can be interpreted as a metal coating process, using an electric current, and certain chemical compounds in order to move the metal particles into the coating to the material covered.

Metal coating can be coated zinc (zinc), galvanized, silver, gold, brass, copper, nickel and chrome. Use of these layers is adjusted to the needs and uses of each material. The main difference of these coatings are used in addition to the anode, is electrolit solution. In a new study recently (in 2004), conducted by Tadashi Doi and Kazunari Mizumoto, they found a new solution (electrolysis) called citrate solution (violence deposit reaches 440 VHN)

Electroplating process of changing the physical properties, mechanical and technological properties of a material. One example of physical change when the material is coated with nickel increases the resistance of materials against corrosion, and increased capacity conductive. As for the mechanical properties, tensile strength changes and the press of a coating material after the experience than ever before.

Therefore, the purpose was not lost on the metal coating of three things, namely to improve the technical nature / mechanism of a metal, which both protects the metal from corrosion, and beautify the third display (Decorative)

Electroplating Principles

We know the terms anode, cathode, electrolyte solution. These three terms are used throughout the literature related to the coating materials, especially metals and illustrated.

• Anode is the positive terminal, connected to the positive pole of an electric current source. Anode in the electrolyte solution there is
late and some do not. Insoluble anode serves as a conductor of electric current course., Whereas the soluble anode functions in addition to conducting an electric current, as well as coating materials.

• Cathode can be interpreted as the workpiece to be coated, connected to the negative pole of the electric current source.

• Electrolyte solution of the molecules can be dissolved in water and breaks down into particles that positf or negatively charged.
Because Electroplating is a process that produces a thin layer of metal on the surface of another metal by electrolysis, then we need to know the scheme Electroplating process.
