Uniform corrosion

Definition

Corrosion is a redox reaction between the metal with a variety of substances in the environment that produce compounds that are not desired. In everyday life we are familiar with corrosion title.
One form of corrosion that occurs in metals is the corrosion evenly. Uniform corrosion is the type of corrosion where the corrosion rate of corrosion of this type that occurs in all metal or alloy surfaces that are exposed or open to the environment took place with almost the same rate. Almost all metal surfaces show the corrosion process.

Causes

Uniform corrosion occurs due to anodic and cathodic poses a place on the metal surface evenly distributed. This occurs because of the influence of the environment so that the contacts which took place resulted in the entire corrode metal surfaces. Such corrosion can usually be found on the steel in the atmosphere and in metals or alloys which corrode active (potential corrosion in the region of stability ionnya in potential-pH diagram).
